   I'm trying an initial setup of the 68KB script (68kb-v1.0.0rc2) on a server that we use for an internal knowledge share website at work (2003 Svr, MSQL, IIS). I've previously set up PHPBB on it, so I know the components needed for 68KB are present and functional. I followed the installation instructions (the only major difference was uploading files to a virtual directory) and tried to setup the tables(http://systest/TestKB/index.php/setup), but I got a HTTP 500 error.

   I've tried the steps mentioned in the troubleshooting section of the user guide (modifications to includes/config.php), but so far I'm still getting the same error.

   I've been able to work through the problem, but not sure how it was corrected. I did 3 seperate things.

   - When I originally tried the setup I was remoting into the server; this time I was logged on locally.
   - I deleted all the files in the virtual directory and recopied them, then restarted the install process.
   - Since the db is installed locally, I changed the username within the config.php from username to username@localhost. After this worked, I changed it back to just username so I'm not sure if that had any effect or not.

   So at least at this point I'm part of the 68KB and ready to kick the tires and see what she'll do :)
